HISTORY TIMELINE
2004
Cardinal Recycling Company started in 2004 servicing small accounts with a 26’ straight truck. We recognized companies that were not generating large volume of industrial recycling that still needed to be serviced.
2006
CRC moved to Morris Illinois where we started processing cardboard for the waste haulers, as well as our industrial accounts. We retain many of our original customers from that time period. Volume has continued to increase by expanding our geographical foot print.
2015
Installed our first grinder learned the basics of grinding plastics.
2016
Added two more grinding lines and was the beginning of being part of a supply chain for the plastics world.
2017
Installed shredding capability as well as a plastics analytical lab.
2018
Added two more large grinding lines capable of large volumes per hour capabilities.
2020
Built a 12,000 sq. ft., 3-dock addition to house a new processing line to handle our increasing dunnage business.

Started Semi Trailer Rental for one of our customers which has grown into an additional business model for other existing and new customers to alleviate storage of material within their facilities. We have both 48’ and 53’ semi-trailers for rent.
2021
Installed new shredder to keep up with continual increasing volume.
2022
Installed jumbo shredder to handle all size reduction needs.
2023
Switched from diesel to electric forklift units for a smaller carbon footprint.
Our goal is to save 250 gallons of diesel from being burned per month which means 3,000 gallons less per year going into the atmosphere! Continuing to see what is next to help service our customers!
High quality and innovative shredder cuts back on physical labor while increasing productivity through more automation and metal protection.
New electric forklifts help to reduce our businesses carbon footprint.
